The Emirates Waste to Energy Company is jointly operated by BEEAH, the region’s leading sustainability and innovation pioneer, and Tadweer Group, a leader in unlocking the value of waste. The company was founded in 2015 between BEEAH and Masdar as joint venture partners. In 2025, Tadweer purchased Masdar’s stake, further deepening our focus and innovation in the field of waste-to-energy.
Following the success of our inaugural project, the Sharjah Waste to Energy plant, we are planning several innovations to advance our mission.
The Emirates Waste to Energy Company envisions introducing more waste-to-energy plants across the UAE, the region, and beyond, while also leveraging cutting-edge energy avenues such as solar power generation.
